With the weather getting worse, we wanted to let you know what we base our decision of cancelling the leagues on.

We continually look at the forecast and really have to determine whether or not we are going to close by 1 p.m. This will give us time to call the entire affected league captains and allow them time to contact their teammates. We will also contact the local TV (R news) and radio stations ( WHAM) so you can check those sources as well. The other determining factor is if the Gleason Works B shift has been cancelled we will also be closed. So you can keep that in mind as well.

If we have not contacted the team captain by 1 p.m. you should consider that the leagues are on.

We want everyone to use your best judgment, and keep in mind we are able to determine what the weather is here on University Ave. If you live in an area of generally heavier snow fall you may need to make the decision not to come even if the leagues are on.

During the winter months it is especially difficult to reschedule leagues due to previously scheduled tournaments, parties , and special events. We want to keep your league on the same night or day that you originally signed up for. Keep in mind that in some situations we will need to run a makeup on a Saturday or Sunday. You will have at least one week’s notice and in most cases 2-3 weeks. Many of these factors are relative to how many weeks are left in the season.

Hopefully we will not have to make any adjustments in your schedule however we wanted to make you aware of the procedure….
